The Archdiocese Legal Network is a pro bono internship program. It does not provide full legal representation at the time of ingestion. Volunteer to take on a pro bono case: only thanks to the generosity and time provided by more than 500 lawyers can we help families in need manage their civil law affairs. If you are a licensed attorney in Washington, D.C. or Maryland, please consider taking on a case or volunteering upon admission. Call James D. Immigration Legal Services (ILS), part of the Catholic Charities Newcomer Network, focuses on providing direct legal immigration services to the foreign-born and their families. Last year, we worked with over 4,400 cases, ranging from consultations to full representation. ILS has represented people from more than 135 countries around the world who need legal assistance in an immigration case. ILS also focuses on training lawyers to provide pro bono services and educate community groups on the latest immigration issues. For 30 years, the Catholic Charities Legal Network has provided pro bono legal services, general information, access to pro bono lawyers and law firms, and referrals to other appropriate legal services organizations.
