Legal Aid BC (LABC) pays an email subscription to the Case Digest Connection for lawyers who agree to accept six or more legal aid contracts within 12 months. To sign up for CLE`s Case Digest connection, email your request to LABC at lawyers.resources@legalaid.bc.ca. Lawyers who accept legal aid contracts are eligible for discounts on Continuing Legal Education Society of BC (CLEBC) courses. Considering that article students and summer students are at the beginning of their careers, the Student Trainee Committee develops and implements a Legal Education Program (CLE) specifically designed for students and lawyers at the beginning of their careers. The dual purpose of this program is to familiarize students with the concepts and areas of law they will encounter during their practice, and to familiarize them with subject matter experts available to discuss the legal issues that students encounter in practice.
