This is the first internship program in Australia designed specifically for the domestic market. To apply for a seasonal internship, you must be in the last or penultimate year of study, i.e. You intend to start your last semester in 2022. Students who have already completed their law studies are also welcome to apply. Following the success of the pilot internship program in July 2019, the Association of Corporate Counsel Australia and The Learned Crew (TLC) will conduct an in-house internship program in Sydney and Melbourne in the second half of 2020: H2 2020: Sydney and Melbourne. Start around July. The exact dates, duration and whether part-time, full-time or combination are left to the respective legal team. Legal teams must confirm their participation by March 1, 2020. We launched this articling program to create unique new opportunities for law students to gain work experience in a growing segment of the legal profession, and for in-house lawyers to give back to the next generation of lawyers and have energetic young talent to assist them in their busy in-house roles. After completing their legal internship at the law firm, seasonal clerks have the opportunity to express their interest in a graduate student position within the company. As part of our four-week summer internship in our Melbourne or Sydney office, you will be welcomed into our team, where you will take on a range of meaningful and challenging tasks. We review applications in a way that aims to eliminate «unconscious bias.» For this purpose, we do not consider applicants` names, addresses, genders or high school education information when reviewing applications for graduates and seasonal internships.
