He works in the Department of Law and is appointed to the Department of History and the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice. He was Director of Kroeger College and, from 2013 to 2018, Associate Dean in the Faculty of Public Affairs, Visiting Scholar at the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies at the University of London in the United Kingdom and Regular Visiting Scholar at the Faculty of Law of the University of Queensland in Australia. His research and publications focus on legal history, with a focus on criminal justice reform and British colonial-style government in the 19th century, as well as political processes and national security measures in Canadian history. She works in the Department of Law and Law and is also Secretary of the Senate of the University. Previously, Betina was Associate Dean (Students and Matriculation) in the Faculty of Public Affairs.
