Dentists are required to work 40 hours every two years, all of which can be supplemented by home study.* At least 3 of the 40 hours must be related to medical emergencies in a dental office and 2 must be related to infection control every two years. There is a unique 1-hour requirement in the Pain Management course specifically for Oregon offered by the Department of Human Services` Pain Management Commission.
